How about this lovely fence for our border? Stylish, but not overwhelming or too cutesy. It would make for a lovely backdrop on our border, blending in with the landscape making it more difficult for border guards to see illegals coming over the fence. Oh, yes, this sounds like a good choice, anything to hinder the border guards.

Or, we could choose the much loved picket fence, soothing to the eye and the often chosen fence for young married couples who want that life with just a house and picket fence to raise their family safely. Just the ticket for old town style across the border and a welcoming sight for our illegals as they climb over.

Medieval anyone? How long would it take the illegals to claw through this one? It may be harder than one thinks. At least it would keep them busy while the border guards are getting released from prison for catching illegals.

Nah! This fence just might hinder our illegals, uh, I meant our "undocumented Americans" from coming across the border. We would not want to make things that difficult for them. After all they do have families to hoist over that fence. That would be cruel and inhumane. And, the ACLU would not like that one bit. Our govenment would object to this as it could pinch someone. Or maybe a hand would get caught in one of those roles of wire.
Since our government is having such difficulty building that fence across the border, I thought we Americans could choose something for them. We could give them some ideas on what to build. It's obvious the politicians are having a very hard time understanding what we mean by a fence. Just telling them we want a fence is not working. So, perhaps, if we show them various pictures of what fences look like they will start to understand the concept. Later, once the politicians "know" what a fence LOOKS like, we can discuss the details of the fence and offer some suggestions about which fence we would like them to build.
It is just like dealing with small children, some images are too hard to understand and describe to them. It is often better to show them pictures. That is why there are so many "picture" books for children. Let's all gather our pictures of fences and send them to our politicians so they can see for themselves.
