Islam Is a BIG Problem

According to Irshad Manji writing in The Australian on June 21, 2007, Islam is the Problem.

She grew up in Vancouver and was taught in school that Jews were evil because they worship moolah instead of Allah.

She looked around her neighborhood and saw all kinds of shops but they were not run by Jews. They were run by Asians and other ethnicities. Because she is a "thinking, brilliant, and brave" woman, she saw that what she was being taught was wrong. She saw through the lies.

Indoctrination is what we have in the Muslim schools and if you think this isn't going on in our schools here you  had better think again. This indoctrination is widespread and insidious.

Pakistan is one of the most virulent countries in regard to Islamic radicalism. Yet, we barely hear anything about what is happening there. According to Irshad Manji, more women are killed in Pakistan for somehow "violating" their family's honor, than any murders at Gitmo. Irshad rightly asks, "where's the outrage over this?"

Muslims continually scream and yell about the torture and mistreatment by Americans, but they are the worst when it comes to human rights. This fact makes me want to spit nails. I hear the complaints, the whining of the Muslims held at Gitmo, yet they are treated better than any Muslim would ever get treated in one of their own prisons. They eat better. They have gained an average of 20 to 40 pounds at Gitmo. Some complaint! They have more food to eat than our homeless people do.

When it comes to the Muslims own atrocities there is very little outrage, if any. Very few speak up about the Islamic radical treatment of their own women and people. Women are not allowed to marry an infidel, but their husbands are. Women who fall in love with Infidels and marry them most likely meet their deaths instead of celebration by their own families. Men are allowed to have many wives, whereas women are not. If a woman has an affair she is stoned to death. So, what's the difference here? Her husband can have many different women, but she can have just one.

In April, mullahs at a radical mosque in Pakistan issued a fatwa against hugging all because a woman gave a celebratory hug to her sky diving instructor. This was seen as an outrage. How dare a woman hug a man in public even if he is her trusted instructor who has worked hard with her in raising funds for the Pakistani earthquake from 2005. Her innocent action was branded a sin.

The mullahs ban women from being outside and they have to be covered at all times in Pakistan.

Music and book stores are closed down due to threats by Islamic radicals. They threaten suicide bombings to intimidate store owners  and the government.

According to Irshad Manji:
"Above all, I'm offended that so many other Muslims are not offended enough to demonstrate widely against God's self-appointed ambassadors. We complain to the world that Islam is being exploited by fundamentalists, yet when reckoning with the opportunity to resist their clamour en masse, we fall curiously silent."

"Last spring, a 56-member council of Islamic countries pushed the UN Human Rights Council to adopt a resolution against the "defamation of religion". Pakistan led the charge. Focused on Islam rather than on faith in general, the resolution allows repressive regimes to squelch freedom of conscience further - and to do so in the guise of international law."

Irshad Manji is a Muslim woman who some of you may have heard during interviews on Glenn Beck, or have read her articles. This woman is a Muslim, not a red necked, racist hick from flyover country here in America who speaks out against the "quiet and silent" Muslims.

Along with Irshad I ask where are the moderate Muslims? When will they start speaking up? When will they demand that their radical brethren stop their atrocities and stop killing women and children? It is getting very late and we need these Muslims to speak up now.
