Up and Running Again

Yippee!

I'm up and running again from the boonies!

The move is over and all things are good.  There is much work to be done as expected, but thankfully I don't have to do it alone.

Some of you are familiar with poster Goshawk, some perhaps not.  Either way, the big news I hinted at in my previous article is that Goshawk is now Mr. Peppermint and I am now Mrs. Goshawk.

We are a real team now and working at fixing up our old farmhouse.

Now, you might ask yourselves just how did this happen?  I bet Townhall never imagined that they would become a site for romance to blossom.  But, that is exactly what happened for Goshawk and me. For a long time Goshawk and I were like "ships passing in the night" running into each other in the comments sections of various columnists, batting back comments about the moon bats.  After many months of comments to one another, Goshawk requested another TH blogger give his email address to me so that he would not miss an installment of the Diary series I wrote.

First we began emailing as all friends do and then one day, we realized we were more than friends.  We weren't sure what that more was but we decided to find out.  At first it seemed there could be no way this romance could work out because of distance.  Goshawk lived in LA and I lived in Ohio.  2100 miles apart!

Goshawk wanted out of what he considered the cesspool of California.  Then seemingly out of nowhere my best friend and her husband had bought their second farm in Kentucky and they had a house to rent on the property.  We jumped at the chance since the farm is WAY out in the boonies which was a requirement for Goshawk, who is an artist and needs plenty of peace and tranquility for his painting.  For me, I remain only two hours away from family and the deal was done.

We are living on a 209 acre farm with the permission to freely explore.  We are loving everything about the farm, our old house we are fixing up (and much to do of course), we are quite isolated with no neighbors in sight and all the tranquility one could ask for per Goshawk's requirement.

In an upcoming article I will tell the tale of Goshawk's trip out here with all the ups and downs and hilarious events along the way. Of course, many of these events were not hilarious to Goshawk at the time, but we laugh about them now.  It's a miracle he ever arrived in one piece.

For now that's the news.  Further details will appear in upcoming articles and I am glad to be back.  Goshawk and I are celebrating our newfound happiness and hope you will all join in our celebration.
